VETERAN & FAMILY SUPPORT

THE FIGHT MAY BE ON THE INSIDE.

Someone can look fine, keep moving, and still be carrying more than anyone sees. Check on the Veteran or family member you care about. Ask how they are really doing, then stay long enough to hear the answer.

A 49-SECOND MESSAGE

CHECK IN. LISTEN. STAY.

Everything may look okay on the outside. But someone you love may be fighting hard on the inside.

PTSD does not always show. Pain can be quiet. Silence does not always mean okay.

Check on your Veteran. Check on your family member. Do not wait for them to look like they need help. A real check-in matters.

Ask the real question: How are you really doing? Then stop. Listen. Stay present. Do not judge. Do not rush the answer.

Listen. Stay. Do not judge. You do not need perfect words. You need to be there. One honest conversation can open a door.

CHECK ON SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT.

You do not need perfect words. Ask directly, listen without judgment, and take the answer seriously.

ASK THE REAL QUESTION.

“How are you really doing?” can open a conversation that “Are you okay?” may not.
